I started Crossfit in 2013 at a gym in town then moved up to ECFF CrossFit in 2015. Shortly after I arrived Lex and Fallon came into the picture, bought ECFF and then I was a member of CrossFit VU. So I guess I have been on and off with it for about 5 years now. I specialize in Administration Management and my best quality for my job is the fact I keep everything organized for our business and gym.
I’m very passionate about my family and friends. Helping people where and when I can makes me feel great. I have always been the type to love hard, care about people, and their feelings. I enjoy being a ear to vent to, a shoulder to cry on, or a hug of encouragement on a tough day. Never knew that doing Admin here in this facility came with some extra duties. But that is what makes this gym so special. We are one big FITFAM. There is nothing better than giving back to those you care about and seeing a difference you can make in someone’s life.
I love filling the admin manager position at CFVU because the members are so amazing. Not only do I get opportunities to help them but they also help me. Their love, support, and friendships are priceless. So I’m not the most athletic, but I try. I feel that trying is the important part of CrossFitting and the athletic part happens magically for those who don’t have it, it comes after some practice with CrossFit.
I worked in insurance for over 7 years. Sales was not my strong suit and the stress of the job was taking a toll on me physically and mentally. Having the opportunity to handle the administrative side of things at CFVU was life-changing for me. Within a month I had lost 8 lb just from not having the stress. It’s a fun atmosphere and seeing people accomplish things that they never thought they would be able to accomplish when they first started is tremendously rewarding. My favorite quote is a Bible verse. Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD,” plans to prosper you and not harm you plans to give you hope and a future.”
